The Beginning and the End

I just finished a new article, “The Beginning and the End.” It is a longer article because it is very important. Given the length, I have made it into a PDF file so it is easier to print. I would like to briefly share with you why I wrote this article.

New York State recently passed Proposal One (2024) to amend the New York State Constitution to enshrine it protections for abortion and transgender rights. You can read more about NYS Proposal 1 in the series of bulletin articles I wrote against it.

Immediately after the passage of NYS Proposal 1, I wrote “Where Do We Go from Here?”. In that article, I said we need to work to change people’s hearts to understand why actions like abortion are not acceptable.

As part of my own calling to change people’s hearts to understand why we believe that abortion is wrong, ten days ago, I received the inspiration to write on the topic of when life begins. I have written in the past (“Biology Makes Me Pro-Life”) to explain why life begins at conception. In this article, I was inspired to write about the other times when some people say life begins.

As I began to write down my thoughts, it became evident that I should include some discussion concerning when does life end. Then, when I actually began to write the article, God threw in some thoughts about the common reasons people say abortion is necessary.
