We Profess, We Believe
"Rising very early before dawn, he left and went off to a deserted place, where he prayed."Mark 1:35
Each Sunday and Solemnity we recite the Creed. We say the words but do we pray the words? Jesus says "Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord." will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in Heaven." When we pray, we need to think about what the words mean because it is our faith. This new series explores the Creed. As each presentation is done, the video will be added here so be sure and check back for more.
- Knowing What Believe - Before we look at the Creed, it is important that we have a common perspective on the Bible, Tradition, and the Catechism. In this presentation we explore our Catholic understanding of these.
- The Origin of Our Creeds - To understand our creeds we explore how they developed and for what purpose.
- Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth - What does it mean to call God, Father, Almighty, and Maker?
- Jesus and the Holy Spirit - What does the Creed say about Jesus and the Holy Spirit?
- One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church - What does being a church mean?
